East county July 4 activities

Family oriented fun starts in New London at noon Sunday, July 4 at Hatten Memorial Stadium. The New London Parks and Recreation department will set up free kids carnival games in the courtyard until 4 p.m. Free prizes will be awarded. Fun Pros from Green Bay (www.funproseents.com) will have their new 80-foot inflatable obstacle course 22-foot giant slide set up outside of the stadium along the east wall. Tickets or an all day pass can be purchased for the bounce house, slide and obstacle course.

Inside the stadium, a pitching machine and home run derby will open at 1 p.m. for both youth and adults. Medals will be awarded for the farthest hit in each division. Food and refreshments will be available. The City of New London will host their fireworks Sunday, July 4 at dusk at Allen Soccer Field in Hatten Park. If necessary a rain date has been set for August 14 during New London’s All School Reunion.

Clintonville

Fireworks Saturday

The 2010 Clintonville fireworks show will take place at dusk this Saturday. Rain date is July 5. A little league double-header starts at 6 p.m. at W.A. Olen Athletic Field Food and refreshments will be available, and music will be provided by “Dynamic Music Machine”.

Cloverleaf Lakes

The Cloverleaf Lakes Protective Association will present Fourth of July festivities beginning with a Kiddie Parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 3. A boat parade will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at dusk. Cloverleaf’s Art by the Lake will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Buzz and Macs Sandbar, W8489 Cloverleaf Lake Rd. Manawa

The Mid-Western Rodeo will be held July 2-4 at the rodeo grounds in Manawa. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Rodeo Parade is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
