Waupaca County pre-fair judging

Youths are busy preparing their projects for exhibition at the 2010 Waupaca County Fair.

One of the biggest events at the County Fair is the judging of exhibits. Members have an opportunity to explain and display what they learned throughout the year in projects.

Most of the judging is during the Waupaca County Fair, Aug. 25-29. However, there are some projects, such as small pets and foods, that are judged prior to the fair.

The public is invited to attend the Dog Project Agility judging at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at the fairgrounds in Weyauwega.

On Saturday, Aug. 14, at the fairgrounds, project members participate in dog obedience and showmanship judging at 8:30 a.m., and cats and small pets will be judged at 9:30 a.m.

The Waupaca County Junior Fair foods and nutrition entries will be judged at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Manawa High School.

For information on this and other 4-H activities, contact the Waupaca County University of Wisconsin Extension office at 715-258-6230 or www.uwex.edu/ces/cty/waupaca. The Waupaca County Fair website is www.waupacacountyfair.org.
