August 7 ­- A large white pit bull or boxer-type dog chased a vehicle in the 500 block of E. State St. and bit the right front tire puncturing it. The tire went flat and the vehicle had to towed to Clintonville. Police are continuing attempts to contact the owner of the dog.
Traffic
August 9 – A traffic citation was issued to Steven J. Cooper, McKinley St., Iola, for alleged excessive window tinting of a front side window.
Arrests
August 16 – David J. Derford, S. Main St., Iola, was taken into custody by police at the request of Waupaca County Probation & Parole for violation of release. He was transported to the Waupaca County jail and booked in.
