Master Gardeners hold fall plant sale

The Waupaca County Master Gardener Fall Plant Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Waupaca County Fairgrounds in Weyauwega.

The sale will have hundreds of plants, including a variety of perennials, shrubs, grasses and houseplants. Plant highlights are the new colors of asters and mums.

Plant selections have been made by Master Gardeners who have years of gardening experience. They select plants that perform well in their gardens, as well as particularly beautiful varieties.

Plant varieties are suitable to a multitude of garden situations: dry, moist, shade, full sun or ground cover. Each plant is labeled with care instructions, including light and soil requirements. The sale offers choice plants and garden mainstays at reasonable prices.

There will be a horticultural information table staffed by Master Gardeners to answer gardening questions.

The fall plant sale is a fundraiser for the Waupaca County Master Gardener Association. Proceeds fund community beautification, outreach and educational programs throughout Waupaca County, such as children’s gardens, book donations to area libraries, and donations to area food pantries.

The sale will be held rain or shine. Admission is free and the site is wheelchair-accessible. Come early for best selection.
