LaVerne E. Hollman, 83, Wausau, passed away on Sunday, September 12, with her family by her side. She was born March 6, 1927, daughter of Otto and Elsie (Fell) Grebe, in Wausau. LaVerne blessed her family with her attitude of hospitality and gift of organization- always planning ahead and prepared well in advance of every event, taking and sharing pictures of every occasion. She lived her life dedicated to sharing the love of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by her son; Russell (JoAnn) Manawa; grandchildren, Seth, (TaraLea) Hollman, Waupaca; Shari (Matthew) Palmeri, (New London), and Shawn (Matthew) Schliewe, Sheboygan. She is also survived by her brother Eugene (Lorraine) Grebe, her sisters, Shirley (Fred) Niemeyer, and Faye (Ron) Peters, all of Wausau, sister-in-law Rachel Grebe, Whittier CA, and many special nieces, nephews, precious cousins and friends. She was a very proud great- grandmother to Justin, Ellia, Gabriel, Madeline, Sophia, Addison, Spencer, Mollie, and Arianna. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Elroy Grebe and sister, Violet (Glen) Chancellor, Funeral services for LaVerne will be held Thursday, September 16, 11:00 am at the Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, with burial in Restlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5 – 8 at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau and Thursday 10:00 – 11:00 before the funeral. The family appreciates the excellent caregivers of the Aspirus Hospice Program for their care these past months.
