Bulldogs Homecoming week is Oct. 11-15

Homecoming week is Oct. 11-15. Invitations to the dance are bouncing off every wall at the high school. You can’t walk through the hallway without hearing at least one group of girls talking about dresses. Student council and Jen Bruce have been planning for weeks. Window painting downtown takes place Sunday, Oct. 10.

On Monday, Oct. 11, the school will flashback to the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s with a decades day. JV football is at 5:45 p.m. in Bulldog Stadium. At 7 p.m., Powder Puff football includes male cheerleaders.

Tuesday is music genre day, where students dress as their favorite music artists or their favorite genre of music. Hallways are decorated and windows painted for spirit points.

Wednesday, students dress up in an underwater theme and we’ll be seeing double Thursday for twin day.

A sea of red, white and black appears Friday, the wildly anticipated Bulldog day. At 10:17 a.m. the pep rally features cheer competitions, a volleyball tournament, Scuba races and bobbing for ducks.

Class floats glide down Water Street at 4:30 p.m. in the annual homecoming parade. At 7 p.m. our Bulldogs play the Seymour Thunder. The Spirit Cup is awarded at halftime and the Homecoming Court will be announced.

The NLHS Homecoming Dance is Oct. 16 from 8 p.m. to midnight, with the court presented at 10 p.m. Students will dance the night and homecoming week into their memories.
