Dr. Jack Swanson will speak about palliative care at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at the Waupaca Area Public Library.
Hosted by Winchester Academy, the program is free and open to the public.
Swanson was the physician for Marge Goerman, a former president of the Waupaca Rotary Breakfast Club and a former board member of Winchester Academy, who passed away on Jan. 31. Her husband, Bill Goerman, and children are sponsoring the presentation.
Board certified in internal medicine, Swanson did his undergraduate and medical studies at the University of Iowa. He practices medical oncology and palliative medicine in Appleton.
