Scott Salan, with United Country, Udoni & Salan Realty Group, was elected to the board of directors of the Realtors Association of Northeast Wisconsin.
RANW held its annual membership meeting Wednesday, Sept. 15. The association provides the multiple listing service, better known as MLS, to over 400 companies and 1,700 professional subscribers in the market area. They also offer courses to fulfill continuing education requirements for licensed brokers and Realtors.
The meeting’s agenda included keynote speaker Dr. Paul Bishop who leads the survey and market research activities for the National Association of Realtors.
Attendees of the annual event were informed of national and local market conditions. The general trend indicates an uptick in home sales, especially in the area of affordability.
“With strong inventories and record low-interest rates, we expect positive responses in the market that will be measurable by spring,” Bishop said.
“The local market is gaining strength with the current low-interest rates. Buying now versus a year ago can save the average buyer over $100 per month in their mortgage payment. Combine the low-interest rates with good inventories at all price points, this creates tremendous opportunity for buyers and investors,” Salan said.
