Thanksgiving Dinner on Tap

This Thanksgiving Thursday November 25th Msgr. Loerke Council No. 1922 Knights of Columbus of Clintonville, with the assistance of the community, will be sponsoring the 33rd annual dinner for all area persons who do not have a place to share a meal that day.

The dinner will be held at the Clintonville Community Center, 30 S. Main Street starting at 11:30 am. There is no cost to attend, although donations are accepted.

Reservations should be made by calling the Clintonville Community Center at 823-7667.

A traditional holiday menu is planned including roast turkey, baked ham, potatoes, stuffing, cranberries, two vegetables, coleslaw, bread, beverages and homemade pies for dessert. The cost of the dinner is funded by proceeds from a raffle conducted by the Knights of Columbus during this time and by various donations from the community.

The Knights are seeking persons willing to donate homemade pumpkin and mincemeat pies. Anyone willing to do so is asked to call Dick Writt’s office at 823-7660 or his home at 823-6477 and leave their name plus the number and kind of pies they will donate. Volunters are also needed for all facets of the event. Persons willing to help with the food preparation or who want to make a food donation (other then homemade pies) should contact Rick Rauterekus at 250-0262. Volunteers willing to help set up, serve the meal and clean up after the meal are asked to contact Dick Writt at the numbers above.
