Scouton, Paula

Paula Jeanne Scouton, 61, became our shining star during her sleep on Oct. 21, 2010, at home with her faithful companion Noel by her side. She was born on March 11, 1949, to Mary Lou (Norman) Niemuth and the late LeRoy Scouton in Wis. Rapids. Paula graduated from Waupaca High School in 1968. She had a passion for floral design which she proudly displayed her talents around her home and yard. She loved the Green Bay Packers and Brett Farve. Mostly she was a devoted mother, loving grandma, precious daughter and a special sister. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Michelle Meronek of Waupaca, sons: Jason Meronek of Waupaca and Justin (Shelley) Meronek of Little Chute; grandchildren: Josh of Sheboygan, Jordan, Chirstien and Gabriel of Little Chute; Mother: Mary Lou Niemuth of Waupaca; Sister: Gail (Tom) Darinski of Shiocton; Special Niece, Elizabeth Darinski (fiance Jesse Crain) of Appleton; Significant Other: David Knapstein of Manawa and his children Allysa of Plover and Ronnie of Iola and grandson, Justin of Plover; “Adopted” Son, Paul Rew. She is further survived by many Aunts, Uncles, other relatives and many friends. Especially her caregivers Connie, Theresa and Beth who she treasured dearly. She was further preceded in death by her “dad”, Norman Niemuth. A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Maple Crest Funeral Home in Waupaca, with Rev. Dr. Charles Tews officiating. Friends may call from 10:30 am till the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Paula’s name.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Waupaca Area Ambulance, Dr. Patti Kile and Stacey for the exceptional care you provided for Paula.
