The 2011Clintonville women’s volleyball league is not beginning to organize.
Play in this league is not scheduled to begin until January, but the department wants to have most of the organization done for it prior to the upcoming holidays.
Any team interested in playing in the league needs to express its interest at this time. Teams do so by submitting a $25 fee to the department along with the name, address and phone number of the team captain. Teams should also indicate their division preference of A or B, with B being the lower skilled division. There is no difference in the rules between the two divisions and depending on the number of teams that sign up and their division preference two divisions may be organized. The $25 fee can be submitted to City Hall, 50 10th Street or the Park and Recreation Department at the Clintonville Rec Center, 55 E. 12th St. The initial entry deadline is 4:30 pm Monday November 29th. An extended deadline of Friday Deceember 3rd has also been established, but teams signing up after Nov. 29th will be assessed a $50 penalty fee, which unlike the initial $25 fee paid, will not be applied toward the final team fee total. The final amount of the team fee will be determined when the number of teams are known and the schedule worked out.
