Spaeth returns to court, again

Tony A. Spaeth Jr., 18, Waupaca, was charged with felony bail jumping and operating a vehicle while his license was revoked.

On the afternoon of Oct. 22, Waupaca County Sheriff’s Deputies Julie Thobaben and Mark Goerlinger responded to a two-vehicle crash at County Road G and Bestul Road in the town of Scandinavia.

According to the criminal complaint, Spaeth collided with a van while driving a truck that was not registered and for which he did not have insurance. He allegedly left the scene of the accident without notifying police.

Spaeth appeared in court on Oct. 25 and was released from custody on a $1,000 signature bond.

On May 4, 2009, the court assessed Spaeth $186 in fines and court costs for operating a vehicle without a driver’s license. The judge gave Spaeth three months to pay the fine or face a two-year suspension of his license.

Spaeth was subsequently convicted of operating a vehicle while suspended on May 6, May 18, June 1 and July 20, 2009.

On Aug. 3, 2009, Spaeth’s driver’s license was revoked for six months after he was convicted of a drinking and driving offense.

Spaeth was convicted of operating after revocation on Aug. 4 and Dec. 21, 2009, and May 26, 2010.

In addition to his numerous traffic citations, Spaeth faces multiple felony charges.

In July 2009, Spaeth was charged with burglary and released on a $1,000 signature bond.

On Aug. 16, 2009, Spaeth was charged with felony bail jumping and criminal damage to property, and released on a $1,000 signature bond.

On Oct. 20, Spaeth was charged with felony bail jumping and operating while revoked, and released on a $1,000 signature bond.

On Oct. 26, 2009, Spaeth was charged with felony bail jumping and disorderly conduct, and released on a $1,000 signature bond.

On March 1, Spaeth was charged with felony bail jumping and operating while revoked, and released on a signature bond.

On April 28, Spaeth was charged with theft, obstructing an officer and three counts of felony bail jumping. He was released on a $5,000 signature bond.

On July 1, Spaeth was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and two counts of felony bail jumping, and released after posting a $500 cash bail.

On July 26, Spaeth was charged with causing injury by the negligent use of a weapon, misdemeanor endangerment and felony bail jumping. He was released on a $1,000 cash bail.
