Four board members up for re-election

WEYAUWEGA – Four members of the Weyauwega-Fremont School Board will be up for re-election next April.

They are Tony Beyer, who represents the town of Weyauwega, Dan Kohl, who represents the town of Fremont, Sandra Smith, who represents the towns of Royalton and Mukwa, and Charles Burgess, who represents the village of Fremont.

The seats currently being held by Beyer and Kohl are for three-year terms on the school board.

The seat being held by Smith is for the remaining one year of a three-year term, while the seat being held by Burgess is for the remaining two years of a three-year term.

Smith and Burgess were appointed to the school board last spring to fill vacant seats that were due to the resignations of board members Bill Brace and Mike Abraham.

Nomination papers for the four seats can begin to be circulated on Dec. 1. Papers for the April 5, 2011 election must be filed by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4.
