Louis Richard “Dick” Sheldon, age 89 of Waupaca, passed away on November 26th, 2010 at the Crystal River Nursing Home in Waupaca Dick was born on January 24, 1921 to Harlow and Martha (Klug) Sheldon in Wausau, WI. He proudly served our country in WWII, receiving several distinguished metals. Dick married Kathleen Iola Sanborn in 1953. Dick worked as a lineman, bartender, and handy man. He loved fishing and outdoor activities.
Dick is survived by five children; Noel, Dawn, Lanc, Dyan and Paig, nine grandchildren and a great-grandson. He is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, “Iola”. We would also like to thank the staff at Crystal River Nursing Home for the love and care they provided. Military Honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 6th at the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
