W-F High School presents Madrigal Feast

Weyauwega-Fremont High School will presents its first Madrigal Feast on Sunday, Dec. 19 in the high school auditorium.

The doors will open at 5:30 p.m for a prelude performance and seating. The meal will begin at 6 p.m.

The evening will be set in a medieval, castle-like setting, with music performed by the high school madrigal singers, the treble choir, the women’s choir and various instrumentalists.

There will be a carol sing-along.

The meal will be catered by Chris Gunderson of the Coffee Klatsch in Weyauwega. The menu will include spiced apple cider, butternut squash soup, slow-roasted pork over sweet rice and peas and an assortment of Christmas sweets served with coffee and hot chocolate.

Music of the season will be interspersed with poetry, vignettes and sword fighting.

Tickets for the event are $20 and may be purchased at the Coffee Klatsch or at the music department at Weyauwega-Fremont High School. The deadline is Friday, Dec. 10.
