Dollmakers who dare to care

Dolls magazine has released “The Charity Issue”, a complimentary digital magazine that showcases doll artists and manufacturers who use their time and resources to support charitable organizations of all kinds.

From renowned toy giant Mattel, to collectible doll stalwarts Tonner Doll Co., The Ashton-Drake Galleries, Berdine Creedy, Charisma Brands, DOLLS publisher Jones Publishing, and more, this special issue shines a light on them and the causes they support that are near and dear to their hearts.

Just in time for the holiday season and the spirit of giving, The Charity Issue is all about giving back. Publisher of DOLLS, Jones Publishing, of Iola, will be donating 10 percent of net advertising proceeds to the charities covered in the issue. Additionally, print copies of the book will be for sale, from which 10 percent of sales will also be donated to charity.

“This is an important issue because not everyone realizes how giving doll artists and manufacturers are,” stated Ryan Jones, vice-president of Jones Publishing. “As we’ve gotten to know people in the industry, like Robert Tonner, Paulette Goodreau and Helen Kish, I’ve been impressed by how they want to give back and not just make a name for themselves.”

“The industry has always believed in stewardship, and this is our opportunity to tell the world about the charities the industry embraces,” added company owner and president Joe Jones.
