Meyer, Jackie A.

Jackie A. Meyer, of Waupaca age 71, passed away on Monday, December 6, 2010 at Crystal River Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born to the late August and Elsie (Lohman) Meyer in Lake Zurich, IL on August 23, 1939. Jackie enjoyed watching sports, especially football and some basketball. He was an Over the Road Truck Driver for 44 years and traveled all over the Northern United States and Canada. He will be sadly missed by his children: Julie (Al Schacht) Meyer of Amherst; and Dale Meyer of Almond; brothers August “Gusie” (Betty) Meyer of Tillmook, OR; Ronnie (Katie) Meyer of Huntley, IL; brother-in-law: Richard Grantham of Wauconda, IL; special friends: Richard Brodnan, Madlyn (Richard) Brown and Richard Hanke, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary and Carol and a brother, Gary. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. The visitation will be on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
