Waupaca Duplicate Bridge Club will meet at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at the Holly History and Genealogy Center, 321 S. Main St.
The event will begin with coffee and conversation, with play to commence promptly at 9 a.m. All area bridge players are invited to attend.
In bridge action on Dec. 10, the large field was again divided into East/West and North/South competitions. Ron Gray and Bill Sund captured East/West first-place honors, with Bart Blum and Gene Trieglaff in second place. The Oshkosh duo of Sharon and Herman Schatz finished third East/West.
Stephanie Schwingel, Coloma, and Wayne Larson, Ripon, finished in first-place North/South, followed by Carol Konrad, Neshkoro, and Waupaca’s own Arnold Miller. The Weyauwega team of Cathy and Jay Quella took third North/South. The overall Honorable Mention Award went to Ann Linden and her partner Ellen Kaul.
