Waupaca teen charged with selling pot

Mason M. McCann, 18, Waupaca, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of maintaining a drug trafficking place.

On the afternoon of Dec. 7, Wisconsin State Trooper Kendi Linjer was on County Road QQ in Farmington when she observed a car with two people not wearing their seat belts. She pulled the vehicle over.

Linjer reported noticing the odor of marijuana and asked the driver, identified as McCann, if he had any pot in the car. He reportedly handed her a small plastic bag and a metal pipe.

Linjer later found a large bag under the front passenger seat. Inside the bag were 11 smaller plastic bags with 48 grams of pot, according to the criminal complaint.

The passenger reportedly told Linjer that she had purchased pot from McCann in the past.

McCann faces up to three years in prison if convicted of selling pot.
