Library starts new book club

The Weyauwega Public Library will be closed Friday, Dec. 31 and Saturday, Jan. 1.

Adults are invited to sign up for the library’s new evening book group for adults. The first one will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9 when The Lost Quilter: An Elm Creek Quilts Novel by Jennifer Chiaverini will be discussed.

Copies of the book will be available at the front desk the first week of January.

Other things going on at the library include:

? Cribbage at 10 a.m. on Mondays in the lower level of the library.

? Mexican Train Dominoes at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6.

? A meeting of the Book Friends discussion group at 10 a.m. Jan. 24. The book Half Broke Horses by Jeanette Walls will be discussed. Books will be available for pickup in early January.

When there is inclement weather, the library may close. During such times, call the library ahead of time to verify that it is open. If school is canceled or closes early due to weather, the library will also close.

Things are busy at the library, and volunteers are always needed. To volunteer or for more information, visit the library or its website www.wegalibrary.org or call the library at 920-867-3742. The library is also on Facebook.
