Lucas Albers and Bradly Hardel provided half of the offense for the Iola-Scandinavia boys’ basketball team Tuesday, Dec. 21, in a 56-50 nonconference win over Edgar.

Both players scored 14 points and two other Thunderbirds also finished in double figures.

Edgar led 15-14 after the first quarter and 31-29 at halftime, but only scored three points in the third quarter. The T-Birds led 42-34 after three quarters before the Wildcats outscored the home team 16-14 over the final eight minutes.

Brian Tap and Jordan Beyersdorf added 13 and 10 points, respectively, for the T-Birds as I-S improved to 3-4 on the season. Beyersdorf pulled down a team-high nine rebounds, while Hardel and Tap added seven each.

The T-Birds will play in the Stratford Invitational Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 29-30, before returning to Central Wisconsin 8 Conference play Friday, Jan. 7, at Bonduel.
