Koehler, Herbert Jr.

Herbert Koehler Jr. answered the Lords calling Saturday December 25, 2010 at the age of 83. Herb was born in East Bloomfield on August 10, 1927 the oldest child of Herbert Sr. and Frieda Bartel Koehler. He has resided in Sussex Wi. for many years. Herb was in the U. S. Army for 22 years. One of his tours of duty was in Germany where he met his wife of 58 years, Anna (nee Harth) Koehler. Herb is survived by his wife, Anna, daughter Deborah (Dave Strommen) Koehler, grandchildren Brent Christenson, and Amanda Behling, great granddaughter Ciara Christenson. Two brothers, Leland (Pat) Koehler of Montrose Colorado, and Milton (Louise) Koehler of Oshkosh, and sister Shirley Johnson of Germantown, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother DeWane. Funeral services with full military honors were held at the Krause Funeral Home on Capitol Drive in Milwaukee on Wednesday, Dec 29, 2010. Entombment was at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
