Bacon, Jacqueline “Jackie,” age 78, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Weyauwega Health Care Center after a lingering illness. She was born on December 9, 1932 in Weyauwega, daughter of the late Walter and Edna (Teal) Kamp. On November 24, 1951 she married Marvin Bacon in Dubuque, Iowa. Jackie and Marvin farmed in the Town of Royalton for many years. Most recently, they sold produce for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. She is survived by her husband Marvin; daughter: Joanne (Jim) Knutson, Almond; two sons: James (Tanna) Bacon, New London; Mark (Willa) Bacon, Waupaca; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Douglas (Dorothy) Kamp, New London; Larry (Carol) Kamp, Waupaca. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. The Christian Funeral for Jackie was held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Noon at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Dennis Lemke and Rev. Robbin Robbert officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. Friends called directly at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Donations may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church’s Building on The Rock program.
