Poole, Bernard L.

Bernard (Bernie) L. Poole, Brooksville, Florida, formerly of New London, born May, 1939 died peacefully with his sons by his side in Oakhill, Florida on Sunday, January 9, 2011. Bernie was preceded in death by his parents Neo and Verla Poole, a brother, Gay Poole and a son, Terry. He married Patti (Resch) Feole in 1962 (and later divorced). Bernie loved fishing with his sons, hunting, working on his boats and the great outdoors. He always had his own words of wisdom to share with everyone he met and had a terrific sense of humor. He was a special guest on the reality show “A Simple Life” when the show visited Brooksville. He showed the ‘stars’ what the true meaning of a simple life really was. Bernie is survived by his brother Wayne of Clintonville, his son Dean (Katie) of Clintonville and his sons (from a 2nd marriage) Timothy and Jeremy both of Brooksville, Florida; grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. A private service will be held as Bernie’s ashes are spread at sunset according to his wishes. In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts are appreciated to assist his sons at this difficult time.
