A 20-7 advantage in the fourth quarter helped give Bonduel a 58-45 Central Wisconsin 8 Conference boys’ basketball win over Iola-Scandinavia Friday, Jan. 7.
The Bears scored 42 of their points in the second and fourth quarters.
I-S led 10-8 after the first quarter, but trailed 30-21 at halftime. The Thunderbirds outscored the home team 17-8 in the third quarter and the teams went into the fourth quarter tied at 38-38.
Jordan Beyersdorf led the T-Birds with 12 points, while Bradly Hardel also finished in double figures with 11. However, the T-Birds didn’t have an answer for Bonduel’s Jacob Thorne, who led all scorers with 30.
The T-Birds fell to 1-3 in the CWC 8 and 4-6 overall with the loss, while the Bears improved to 9-1 overall and 4-0 in league play.
I-S hosted Wittenberg-Birnamwood Tuesday, Jan. 11, and will play at Stevens Point Pacelli Friday, Jan. 14, with tipoff set for 7:30 p.m.
