Puls, Muriel A.

Muriel A. Puls, (Nee Abraham), age 95, died peacefully in her sleep on January 29, 2011. She was a resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King and formerly of Appleton. She was born on February 4, 1915 in Black Wolf Township, WI to Carl and Hilda Abraham. She is the beloved wife of the late Gilbert F. Puls. They were married on August 17, 1946. Muriel is survived by her son John (Marcia) Puls of Grafton, WI and granddaughter Sarah Puls, Brooklyn, NY. She is also survived by a daughter Ann, (Fred) Luffman and grandson Tim of Sacramento, CA. She is further survived by her brother Kenneth Abraham, Weyauwega, WI and sisters-in-law Elaine Abraham, Fremont, WI, Phyllis Abraham (Louie Thorne), Sun City, AZ and Geraldine Althaus, West Bend, WI. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Gordon (Lisa Woodward) Puls, Fremont, WI. Her sisters Verna and Lucile and brothers Robert and Harold (Jack) preceded her in death. She is also survived by many dear family and friends, especially those of Faith Lutheran Church. Muriel worked as a bookkeeper at companies in the greater Appleton area for many years. She was a member for over 50 years of the American Legion Auxiliary, Fremont, WI and for over 50 years of Faith Lutheran Church where she was an active volunteer well into her 80s. A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, Appleton, WI on February 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. Visitation is one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Faith Lutheran Church (601 E. Glendale Avenue, Appleton, WI 54911) or the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 391 (322 Waupaca St, Fremont, WI 54940).
