Wasrud, Dorothy R.

Dorothy R. Wasrud, 81, of Iola, died Monday, April 11th, 2011, at Iola Living Assistance. She was born in Monticello in Dane County, on May 13, 1929, the daughter of the late Royal and Josephine (Moser) Wasrud, Sr. Dorothy graduated from Iola High School in 1946. She started working March 7, 1949, at Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative. She retired in 1991, after working as office manager and administrative assistant for 42 years. She had been active in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, including belonging to the Esther Circle, singing in the church choir, and serving as church secretary for many years. She donated more than 3 gallons of blood to the Red Cross. Dorothy volunteered for meals on wheels. She enjoyed gardening, travelling and her pets; Tipper and Kitty. She was a very generous person.
