Joch, Patricia Kaye

Patricia Kaye Joch, (Wolf),age 79, of Waupaca, formerly of Manawa, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 22, 2011, at Theda Clark Medical center in Neenah. She was born on December 6, 1931, in Corwith, Iowa, daughter of the late Henry and Mabel (Keeney) Wolf. She was christened Patricia but her family and friends knew her as Pat. Pat attended Corwith Grade School and graduated from Weyauwega High School in 1951. Following school, Pat worked at banks in Washington D.C. and Miami, Florida. She enjoyed telling stories of her life in the Nation’s Capitol and in sunny Miami. In 1957, Pat married Orville Joch and the couple farmed near Bear Lake for more than 40 years. There they raised three sons, Gregory, Ron and Corey. While raising her children, Pat worked for many years at Presto Products in Weyauwega, retiring in 1994. After her husbands death in 2008, Pat moved to an apartment in Waupaca. She became a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa when she and Orville were married and the church became an important part of her life. Pat enjoyed traveling with friends from church to chicken dinners and ice cream socials, but her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed yearly family reunions and traveling and she and her sister Mary, made many trips together including several train and bus trips around the country. She and Orville traveled the western United States as well as Alaska, Canada and Nova Scotia. She loved and enjoyed her grandchildren, had a fabulous memory and liked to recite poetry to them. Pat was a faithful Packer backer. She is survived by two sons: Ron Joch and Corey Joch (Jane Anderson), grandsons: Matthew and Dominic Joch; a granddaughter Katherine Joch; two brothers: Henry Wolf, Davenport, Iowa; Douglas Wolf, Grove, Texas; sister: Mary (Charles) Martin, Pelican Lake; two sisters-in-law: Darlene (Frank) Bork, Winchester; Ardell Steffes, Chilton; brother-in-law Verlyn (Sandy) Joch, Neenah; also many nieces, nephews, as well as many dear friends who will miss her very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Orville, in 2008, three sons Gregory, Kevin and Mitchell, six brothers, LeRoy, Neil, Robert, Louis, Lee and Charles, two sisters, June Wilkinson and JoAnne Knowles. The funeral for Patricia will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa, with Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Burial will be in Baldwins Mill Cemetery, in the Town of Royalton. Friends may call at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Manawa on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. and on Friday at the church from noon until the time of the service.
