Murbach, Donald W.

Donald W. Murbach, of the town of Saxeville, Wisconsin, passed away Easter Sunday, at the age of 86. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 5, 1925, to Gustav and Adele (Carlson) Murbach, a WWII Navy Veteran, having served on LST 17, in the South Pacific, and united in marriage on October 14, 1950, to Dolores (Wodach), who preceded him in death, in June of 1986. Upon retiring from a career as insurance underwriter for CNA and Cravens Dargin, Don relocated to Wisconsin, pursued his passion for the outdoors and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Saxeville. He will be dearly missed by his partner, Bonnie Deke; children: Susan (Thomas) Toenies of Cary, Illinois, Donald (Beth) Murbach, of Byron, Illinois, John (Linda) Murbach, of Libertyville, Illinois; his 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger (Delores) Murbach, of Prospect Heights, Illinois; and special friends, Rich Jenks and Bob Macintyre.

The Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 7, 2011, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Saxeville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to: St.John’s Lutheran Church, or the American Cancer Society.
