Southside businesses make a difference

A group of Southside businesses sponsored a Southside Business Bonanza and brat fry March 25. The brat fry was held at Quiver N Minnow and was a great success. The south side businesses held open houses for the public to come and check out their business to see what they do and make our community aware of the type of businesses we have. Participating businesses were: New London Building Supply, Modern Flooring, Quiver N Minnow, Master Electric, Highway Hop Diner, Creative Cabinetry, Advantage Signs, Jernegan’s Health Mart, Rices Greenhouses, London Wash, Mathewson Monuments, Weather Guard, Beacon Street Deli, Riverside Tool & Carbide. Thank you all for your participation.

There was a poker run held as well, the winner of the poker run received a new grill that was purchased through New London Building Supply. The winner of the grill was Carissa Jaecks from Tri County Chiropractic in New London. Congratulations to Carissa.

We were pleased to have raised $510 to donate to the local food pantry in New London. Along with that, New London Building Supply held a Builders Night and raffled off tools and equipment that raised another $189. Thank you to them for the extra effort.

A special thank you to Piggly Wiggly who donated all of the condiments for the brat fry, Jernegan’s Health Mart for the brats, and Festival Foods for the hamburgers.
