Relay For Life of New London is public event

New London’s Relay for Life takes place June 10-11 at the middle school track. The public is encouraged to attend the Friday evening event, just as it were any other fundraiser.

This year’s theme for the evening is “Musicals”. That means you may see team campers dressed up in one of your favorite costumes from “Phantom of the Opera,” “Grease,” or any number of musicals from throughout the years. Campsites will be decorated with a musical twist as well.

Teams along the track at New London Middle School will have various items for sale to support the effort of finding a cure for cancer. A silent auction tent will be set up with other offerings meant to raise money for cancer research. Perhaps you’d like to purchase a luminaria for $5 and honor a loved one. There are many ways to help raise money and have a great time in the process.

If you’d like to participate in the Relay For Life but don’t have a team to join, don’t worry. Join us at the Relay For Life on June 10 or contact Kristin Somers at 877-423-9128 ext. 7 or [email protected] for information on teams that you’d be able to join.
