Laatsch celebrates 96th birthday

Harold A. Laatsch, D.D.S., recently celebrated his 96th birthday at the Clintonville Community Center. Born May 28, 1915, Laatsch grew up in the Marion area, graduating from Marion High School in 1933. He went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1937 and married Ruby Bowers on June 20, 1937. The couple had two boys, Randy and Richard-and two girls, Pamela and Virginia. Laatsch continued his education at Marquette Dental School, graduating in 1943. He joined the Army Dental Corps and served as a World War II Army Dentist until 1946. He set up a dental practice in Clintonville in the fall of 1946, and was a dentist in Clintonville for 50 years, retiring in 1995. Laatsch is a member of the Clintonville Rotary Club, American Legion Post 63, Clintonville Golf Course and St. Martin Lutheran Church. “Clintonville has been good to me and my family,” stated Laatsch.
