Jeanette E. Olson, age 77, of Scandinavia, formerly of Libertyville, IL., died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at St. Michaels Hospital, Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Jeanette was born in Iola, Wisconsin on January 6, 1934, the daughter of the late Alfred and Esther (Peterson) Amundson. She married Carlyle Olson on June 19, 1954 at North New Hope Lutheran Church in the Town of New Hope. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2007. She had worked as an OR Tech at Condell Memorial Hospital Libertyville, IL. and then later as a nurse’s aide at Winchester House also in Libertyville. Jeanette was a member of the auxillary of VFW Post 8741-Libertyville. She enjoyed cooking, canning, quilting, and the casino. is survived by seven grandchildren, Shaun, Brandon, Steven, Kristy, Nicholas, Victoria, and Kyle. Also survived by dearest loved ones, the Draeger family. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services were held at Scandinavia Lutheran Church in Scandinavia, Wisconsin, at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 with Reverend Mark E. Sabin officiating. Interment will be in the North New Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Town of New Hope, Wisconsin. A memorial fund has been established in Jeanette’s name.
