Suehs, Loyola Mae

Loyola Mae Suehs, age 79, of Manawa, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Manawa Community Nursing Center. She was born on February 15, 1932 in the Town of Little Wolf, daughter of the late Arthur and Hildegard (Selig) Patri. Loyola graduated from Little Wolf High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to Carl Suehs on July 14, 1951 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa of which she was very active before her stroke. Loyola was an avid gardener. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her husband Carl; children: Jeffrey Suehs, Manawa; Diane (Dennis) Thompson, Wild Rose; Jerry (Jane) Suehs, Manawa; John (Teri Rae) Suehs, Manawa; she was greatly blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister: Shirley (Donald) Mielke, Marion; sisters-in-law: Shirley (Tony) Opperman, Nancy Patri, Sylvia Collins and Muriel Rammer. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son James, 3 brothers Leland, Orval and Robert Patri.
The funeral service for Loyola will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery, Town of Little Wolf. Friends may call directly at the church on Sunday from noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
