Daniel A. Forseth, of Waupaca, age 56, passed away peacefully at home, on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, surrounded by family. He was born on October 10, 1954, the son of William R. and Elaine F. (Schulke) Forseth. On October 27, 1979, he was united in marriage to Cynthia Knell.
Dan was a proud American, serving his country for 14 years with the U.S. Navy. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed gardening and had a great time on his trips to Alaska. Dan loved to socialize and visit with friends. He also had a special place in his heart for all of his pets. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Cindy; children: Heather (John) Spaulding, Holly (Kevin) Nickel, Nathan (Kayla) Forseth and Joe (Malia) Forseth, all of Waupaca; 10 grandchildren; two brothers: Richard (Mary) Forseth of Amherst and Jerry (Julie) Forseth of Waupaca; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. Funeral Services were held at 12 noon, Friday, July 29, 2011, at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca, with the Chaplain Wayne Schwanke officiating. Military honors followed immediately. Visitation was from 10 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial took place at Parfreyville Cemetery.
