Hass, James Edward

James Edward Hass, age 81, of Manawa, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born on October 16, 1929 in the Town of Little Wolf, son of the late Edward and Esther (Erdman) Hass. On April 25, 1953, he married Elaine F. Krause at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa. She preceded him in death in 2001. Jim lived and farmed in the Town of Little Wolf for most of his life. He also drove school bus for the Little Wolf School District for around 30 years. Jim loved to hunt, fish and travel. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa. He is survived by two daughters: Pat Koltz, Oshkosh; Penney Korotka, Manawa; five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a great-granddaughter Kayla Rae Janke. The funeral service for Jim was held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Burial is in Little Wolf Cemetery, in the Town of Little Wolf.
