Seagrave Fire Apparatus received an order for eight additional 75 foot Aerialscope aerial platforms from FDNY.
Seagrave Chairman & CEO A. Joseph Neiner said, “We are pleased to supply the City of New York with a variety of heavy duty fire apparatus including pumpers and aerial units. This order for eight 75′ Aerialscope aerial platforms is in addition to 22 Seagrave units in the field.”
These 75-foot aerial platforms for FDNY feature Seagrave’s Maruader II chassis and Aerialscope aerial customized to FDNY specifications. The Marauder II chassis with stainless steel split-tilt cab and rectangular-tube steel roll cage construction provides the safest environment for firefighters to and from the scene.
The Marauder II FDNY cabs feature a raised roof, extremely durable interior treatments, and additional protection for cab interior occupants. The Marauder II chassis for this order features a Cummins ISX 500 HP coupled to an Allison EVS 4000 transmission with additional bumper reinforcement and undercarriage protection.
The Aerialscope aerial for FDNY features an unrestricted 1000 lb platform rating while flowing 1250 GPM of water, improved hydraulic performance, service friendly diagnostics and a compact boom for shorter overall truck length. The apparatus body is built with a proven design for the FDNY demanding duty cycle.
