Sixteen Waupaca FFA Chapter members participated in the Section 8 Leadership Conference Wednesday, Sept. 21, in Winneconne.
They are Morgan Orr, Morgan Eilers, Nicole Jacowski, Stephanie Johnson, Brad Daugherty, Mikayla Martin, Jessica Allen, Emily Rosin, Ashley Orr, Melissa Nelson, Austin Zemple, Ellyssa Grant, Tony Austreng, Morgan Platta, Taylor Eliers and Courtney Schmidt.
The members learned skills and competencies to improve their role in the chapter. Each member attended three workshops along with a group motivational speech.
The Section 8 Leadership Conference is implemented by state FFA officers to provide motivation to be the best FFA member, chapter officer, and committee chair person that one can be. The state officers spoke about member recruitment, awards and programs; supervised agriculture experiences and career development events; and discussed chapter management, community service and partnerships, leadership and personal development.
