Last week the kindergartners from Mrs. Winkler’s and Mrs. Herzfeldt’s class at Lincoln Elementary School visited Hofacker’s Hillside Apple Orchard in Freedom. The children learned all about the parts of a tree and how apple trees are useful to people and animals. Tour guide Jody talked about how apples get from the apple orchard to the grocery store. Students then enjoyed picking their own apples off the trees.
