Teen nights at Gerold Opera House

Wega Arts will hold its first teen night this weekend at the Gerold Opera House on Main Street in downtown Weyauwega.

It will be held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 and is open to area seventh through 12th graders. The entrace fee is $5.

In the lower level of the historic opera house, there will be a rec room atmosphere, where students will be able to play pool, darts, foosball and other games.

In the theater, disc jockey Michael Konow will handle the music.

Snacks and beverages will be available for sale.

Kathy Fehl, artistic director of the non-profit Wega Arts, said that every Saturday night that there is not a scheduled event at the Gerold, they will have teen night there.

In the upcoming weeks, there will be teen nights on Saturday, Oct. 29 (that one will have a vampire theme) and on Saturday, Nov. 5. The Weyauwega International Film Festival will be wrapping up on Saturday, Nov. 12, with a party that evening, which means other teen nights will follow that date.
