O’Brien sworn in as 3rd Ward alderman

At the Oct. 17 City of Manawa Common Council meeting Lincoln O’Brien was sworn in as the 3rd Ward Alderman.

O’Brien said that he wanted to become an Alderman because he wanted to be more involved in the community.

“I grew up here and lived here, other than for school. I thought it would be good to spend time talking about the issues in the community and trying to give back and give input on what my opinions are,” O’Brien said.

He also stated that he is hoping to be able use his perspectives based on his life experiences to make sound decisions for the City of Manawa.

When asked what his constituents can expect from him as an Alderman, O’Brien stated, “To be a sound thinker and somebody that they would respect. I really do take this serious and I’m excited to represent the people of the community.”
