Tri-County 4-H Club Meeting was held October 10, 2011
The meeting was called to order by President Cian Fischer. The American Pledge was led by Lizzy DeCoster. The 4-H Pledge was led by Lane Nett.
Roll Call was taken. Lizzy DeCoster, Nick DeCoster, Lane Nett, Eli Nett, Cian Fischer, Jenna Amateur and Cody Borsche were in attendance.
The Secretary’s report was read and approved. The Treasurer’s report was read and approved. There was no Old Business discussed. New Business: Members talked about doing something for the month of October. Members voted to go to the Greenville Zoo for the Haunted House and Hayride.
The Parents discussed time and date after the meeting. It was decided that we would go Thursday October 27 and that we should meet at the Greenville Zoo at 6:15pm. The November meeting is the Pot Luck and New Member Welcome. Each family should bring a hot dish and either a salad or desert.
Members voted to go Christmas Caroling in December. Members voted to eat at Goode’s Inn before hand. We will go caroling to some shut-ins and area nursing homes.
November 5 is Leadership Training. Registration is at 9:15am with the training from 9:30am to 11:30am. This will be held at the Manawa High School. Jenna Ameteur and Lizzy DeCoster did a demonstration on chickens. Cody Borsche demonstrated a homemade wooden fishing pole holder, which he received Honorable Mention on. J
enna Ameteur did a demonstration of a magic trick with pencils poked through a bag of water. The meeting was adjourned at 8pm.
