Trambauer, John Jr.

John Trambauer Jr., age 71, New London died on Thursday, November 03, 2011. John was born on April 1, 1940 in Liberty Township (Outagamie County), son of the late John and Marjorie (Genske) Trambauer. On June 8, 1968, he was united in marriage to Marlene Kanaman in Readfield. John had formerly worked at American Motors in Racine and at Wisconsin Electric as a Lineman. He owned and operated Bean City in New London from 1965 to 1978. He drove school bus for the New London School District for many years and worked at Curwood and RE & D until his retirement. He was a special deputy for Waupaca County for over 40 years and also served as a Waupaca County Board Supervisor for a number of years. He was also supervisor of the Caledonia Township. John helped establish the Ducks Unlimited Chapter in New London. He served Military service in the National Guard. John was a social person and enjoyed talking with his friends and neighbors. He is survive by his wife Marlene; a daughter, Lisa Evers, New London; a son, John III (Michelle) Trambauer, Waupaca; two sisters, Joan Woods, Shawano and Jackie Jokinen, Appleton. Three grandchildren: Leah, Kayla and Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, James. Funeral services for John were held on Monday, November 7, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Readfield with Rev. Paul Zittlow officiating. Burial is in the St. John’s Cemetery, Caledonia Township. Visitation was held on Sunday, November 6th from 1-5 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London and also at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
