Community turns out for Beauchaine family benefit

Friends, family and neighbors chipped in for the Nov. 27 benefit held for Mark and Janine Beauchaine in Scandinavia.

Donations came in from over 100 different sources from the surrounding area and numerous people donated their time to the event. From selling raffle tickets to serving spaghetti, organizing the event to the entertainment, or just attending, this was truly a community event.

“I have worked with Mark a long time,” Kathy Budsberg said. “I knew how hard this was for both of them. But, sometimes life throws you a bad curve and you have to step back and let people help.”

“I know if it was me,” she added, “Mark would do the same.”

“It was an awesome and personally rewarding experience,” said Tony Neumann, one of the organizers of the event. “Seeing an entire community come together to help one of their own is something you only get to experience in a small, close-knit community like ours. I feel honored to be able to help a family such as the Beauchaines.”

“I was not surprised to see the huge turnout for the Beauchaine benefit,” said Kathy Quinlan. “Everyone likes to help good people and Mark and Janine are among the best. The benefit was our way of giving the love and support back to them that they extend to everyone.”

“I will never be able to repay the Beauchaines for all the support they have given me and my daughter over the years,” Quinlan added. “Mark helped me get my job in the Outdoor Division of KP/F+W. Janine does more than run Young Impressions daycare – she truly loves each and every child, my daughter included.”

Winning the bowling tournament and two tickets to the Packers/Lions game on New Year’s Day was Roger Kisting. Dawson Marsden won the kids tournament.
