Jacob A. Erickson, 35, Waupaca, succumbed to injuries from a head-on collision shortly before 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in the town of Dayton.
Erickson was southbound on State highway 22 just south of Dayton Road when he crossed the centerline at a curve and crashed into a northbound pickup truck driven by Barry D. Schroeder, 43, Waupaca.
Schroeder was taken by ambulance to Riverside Medical Center for treatment of incapacitating injuries.
Capt. Terrence Wilz of the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department said Erickson was flown to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, where he was later pronounced dead.
