Girl Scout Cookie Program Begins Jan. 20

Girl Scouts will be selling Girl Scout cookies door-to-door Jan. 20-Feb.5, and will host cookie booths outside of area businesses March 9-April 8.

Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes (GSNWGL) Council is now working with a new Girl Scout cookie baker and will now be offering some different and some new cookie varieties: Thin Mints, Shortbreads, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Caramel deLites, Shout Outs!, Thanks-A-Lots, and Lemonades. One box costs $3.50, or you can purchase a case (12 boxes) for $42.00. The Girl Scout Council is also taking orders for those interested in sending a case of Girl Scout cookies to soldiers overseas for the cost of $42.00.

Girl Scouts who participate in the Cookie Program develop skills that will last a lifetime, such as goal-setting, money management, decision-making, business ethics, and people skills. Plus, the profits girls make off their cookie sales can go to the Girl Scout camps, programs, trips, community service projects, or shop purchases of their choice.

If you don’t have a Girl Scout in your family or neighborhood but would like to purchase cookies, call the Girl Scout Council at 888.747.6945 and you will get connected with a local Girl Scout.
