Radichel, Roger A.
Roger A. Radichel, age 67, of West Bloomfield, passed away unexpectedly, on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. He was born on June 28, 1944, in New London, Wisconsin to Arthur and Linda (Behm) Radichel. On May 15, 1971, Roger married Anna Howen in Amherst, Wisconsin. Roger was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in West Bloomfield, where he served as an usher, elder and member of the Finance Committee. He worked at Wolf River Sausage Company, and then worked at the Neenah Foundry, for 35 years, before retiring in 2007. Roger enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, playing cards and watching the Green Bay Packers. Roger is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ann; three daughters, Barbara Radichel, Fremont; Jill (Jason) Maggio, Iola; and Laura (Brent) DeBord, Peshtigo; five grandchildren, Luke, Timothy and Micah Maggio, and Gwendolyn and Owen DeBord; his mother, Linda Radichel, Fremont; a brother, LaVan Radichel, Fremont; a sister, Marlys (Delwyn) Brey, Poy Sippi; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Glenn (Patti) Howen, Chilton; and Yvonne Rasmussen, Waupaca; an aunt, Alice Niemuth, Weyauwega; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and his special companion, Teddy, who will miss his nightly routine of sharing 1/2 a banana with his master. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Arthur. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, West Bloomfield. Rev. Karl Wellnitz officiated. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery, West Bloomfield. Visitation was held on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont, and on Wednesday, at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for Christ Lutheran Church and CIDP. Roger’s family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the ER Staff at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca and to the Theda Clark ICU Unit for their care and compassion during the time.
