Sheahan, Alice E.

Alice E. Sheahan, born to eternal life on Sunday, January 22, 2012, 97 years. She was born on July 10, 1914, in Marion Township (Waushara County) daughter of the late Ward and Stella Booth. She was united in marriage to Louis Sheahan on June 4, 1938, in Redgranite. He preceded her in death in 2003. Alice taught kindergarten for 43 years in the New London school system until her retirement in 1980. She was active in the Lionettes (being president 2 times), New London Women’s Club (treasurer for 19 years), Catholic Study Club, Sodality, Wisconsin Education Association, and Retired Teachers Association. She also worked with Lou when he was District Governor for Lions and in his work with the Knights of Columbus. She also enjoyed embroidery, playing Bridge and helping people in need. Loving mother to James (Sally) Sheahan and Mary Lou (Chuck) Reuter. Loving grandmother of Tammy & Jenni Sheahan, Amy (Eric) Kulwicki, and Kimberly (Kevin) Leidel. Great-grandmother of Chance, Josh, Jayson, Danielle, Mya and Elliott. She is further survived by her brother, Kendall Booth and sister-in-law, Margaret (Arnold) Miller and many relatives and friends. Alice also specially loved Bob and Mary Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Louis. Also preceding her in death sisters, Neola Hardel and Arlene Strey; brother, Ronald Booth, and their spouses. A Mass of Christian Burial for Alice was celebrated on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London with Fr. Norman Krutzik officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation was held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, 209 W.
