Weisbrod, Delphine

Delphine J. Weisbrod, age 88, of Waupaca, WI followed her husband, Charlie to heaven on Monday, February 6, 2012. Delphine was born in the Town of Buena Vista, Portage County on September 17, 1923 the daughter of the late John and Melvina (Konkol) Palash. On July 29, 1950 she married Charles E. Weisbrod at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at Fancher. He preceded her in death 10 days earlier on January 27, 2012. She was a devoted wife who dearly loved her family. She loved bowling, playing cards, puzzles and playing Yahtzee. She was an exceptional cook, an active member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #1037. Delphine is survived by her children: Michael (Marilyn) Weisbrod of Stevens Point; Robert (Marie) Weisbrod of Cottage Grove, MN; Mary (Kim) Schroeder of Waupaca and Marcia (Robert) VanHout of Kimberly; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren: Jessie (Gerald) Lietzke and their children, Kaitlyn and Kayle; Alison (Clint) Pream and their children, Sarah and Molly; Timothy (Shannon) Weisbrod and their son, Nolan; Anastasia (Kurt) Albers; Shannon (Stacy Mittelstaedt) Schroeder and children, Taylor, Nia, and Adalyn; Lewis Schroeder and his son, Tyler; Elizabeth (Brook) Bremmer and their daughter, Alexandra; Matthew (Pamela) VanHout; Jessica (Stephen) Weiss; Michael VanHout; her sisters, Evelyn Staniszewski of Hales Corners, WI; Florence (Howard) Muldoon of South Bend, IN and her brothers, Carl (Delores) Palash of West Bend, WI and Clem Palash of Slinger, WI; many nieces and nephews. Delphine was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lucy, Susie, Jenie, Gertie, Marie, Sister Immaculata and Caroline and her brothers, John, Barney, Ray and Chester. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 11 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Waupaca with Father Brian Belongia, presiding. A visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
