Lady Trucks fall to Irish, beat Mustangs

The Lady Truckers put a scare into the Freedom Irish on Tuesday, Jan. 31, but couldn’t quite pull off the upset, falling 30-37.

Clintonville pulled within three points with under two minutes remaining in the game but Freedom stalled and won the game from the free throw line. The defensive battle featured many fouls.

Clintonville led 6-3 after one quarter but trailed 12-18 at halftime. The Truckers outscored the Irish 5-3 in the third frame, but Freedom outscored Clintonville 16-13 in the fourth quarter to seal the game.

Stacy Reinke had nine points for Clintonville, while Markiesa Westphal scored eight. Allison Shepard and Brittany Hoffman both scored four, while Lauren Pugh and Dayna Seymour added two. Hailey Sorenson scored one. Reinke had one 3-point basket. Westphal, Seymour and Sorenson all fouled out.

Clintonville 52, Little Chute 37

The Lady Truckers put together a good game on Friday, Feb. 3, against Little Chute. Clintonville had four players in double figures. The first time Clintonville played Little Chute this year, they lost by over 30 points; this game was sweet revenge and showcased the improvements the Truckers have made throughout the season.

Sorenson had 13 to lead Clintonville, while Reinke and Hoffman both scored 11. Westphal had 10, while Seymour scored five and Shepard had two. Clintonville went 9 for 11 from the free throw line in the quarter.

The Lady Truckers play at home on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 7:15 p.m.
